But tbh my Ableton Live 11 feels more stable on the M1 than my Live 10 ever did on my "old" 2016 MBP. The only compatibility issue I've had so far with M1 (with Ableton 11 and Logic) is Massive X that won't even install as it uses Intel-CPU specific instructions that somehow can't be emulated in Rosetta.ĭisclaimer: I'm a casual user and have not done super-extensive testing. It's also the one that takes the CPU load when I play Pigments so I guess it's some kind of M1 AU that wraps Intel AUs in Rosetta. This little helpful process seem to be the enabler. I don't know about Reason Rack, but Pigments (and other plugs from Arturia, KOMPLETE 12, SoundToys, Izotope) runs fine under Logic running natively on the M1. I'm reading about Reason Rack, which currently works only in Rosetta, and they say that the DAW needs to run in Rosetta as well Has anyone tried using it in Logic running natively on M1? Good decision by Arturia to bundle in with Mimu, I'm another €69 lighter, but looking forward to discovering more of what Pigments can do (laptop now back in the game with my iPad and said: I got a 30% off prompt when the free 14 day trial was running out, so worth hanging out for that. Glover is astonishingly well designed as a piece of gesture/motion control software, but relatively expensive at around £120 (the companion Gliss iOS app is free). Seems though that I can create and save my own Pigments presets with no problem in Analog Lab V intro (which are then available back in Pigments itself). Analog Lab Intro is a free easy-to-use plugin featuring 500 fine-tuned presets from our award-winning V Collection instruments - bringing unparalleled. I'm not seeing all of the Pigments factory presets, presumably as I'm still on Analog Lab Intro (€69 offer to upgrade that to the full version), but more than enough to get me going. I've just spent a joyful hour waving my hands around playing some motion controlled Pigments presets in Analog Lab. Then a Leap motion controller to use with Glover, and now Pigments to use on its own or in Analog Lab V with Glover/Gliss and all. In an "old lady who swallowed the fly" story, I got Glover to use Mimu's Gliss iOS app (both amazing). I got my reduced price after getting Analog Lab V Intro 'free' with Mimu's Glover. Here's a way to get things cheaper by spending more money (I think that's what they call "man-maths"): I've just gone for the €69 cross grade, very happy so far, not least for the MPE capabilities of Pigments. This must have come from my keyboard purchase(s) as I've never bought any Arturia software. I'm assuming/hoping it will come soon? I just logged into my Arturia account and I see I can crossgrade to Pigments for 69 USD. Note : Arturia is not yet supported on m1.
